T5 Farm at JetBlue's Terminal 5 at JFK Airport

In 2015, GrowNYC Partners built a 24,000 square foot modular farm on a rooftop at JetBlue's Terminal 5 at JFK Airport in New York City. The farm features 3,000 milk crates planted with potatoes, herbs, and vegetables. The milk crates are made of 100% recycled plastic.
The farm was planted and grown at GrowNYC's Governors Island Teaching Garden in the summer of 2015, and was delivered fully grown in October.
